In this post, we will have a detailed look at the affordable Boat Rockerz 400 wireless headphone.
Affordability never means to compromise on the quality and this is what helped boAt to capture the attention of consumers in the headphone segment. In this post, we will be taking a detailed look at the Boat Rockerz 400 – an affordable On-ear Bluetooth headphone model from boAt.
Design and Features
The Boat Rockerz 400 has an eye-catching look and that is something you can’t look away from at first sight. The quality of the plastics is not top notch but the build quality feels okay. When unboxed and used for the first time, the plastics may feel tight and you might have that feeling that if you fold the headphone, it may break. But trust me, that won’t be an issue.
It has a premium look to its feel and that is positive for all those people who hold their headphone on their neck often. The headphone ear cushions are not very soft and that might not be acceptable for most people. But, hey it isn’t bad also as you can get an average comfort from the cushions. The key to getting a comfortable experience is adjusting the angle and position of the earcups accordingly so that it doesn’t fit too tightly to your head.
Being a wireless headphone, the Rockerz 400 definitely has its perks. I am sure, you might have guessed that by now. Well, it is none other than the tangle-free experience. No wire equals no tangling.
The boAt Rockerz retail box comes with a manual, a USB charger and a 3.5mm audio cable as well apart from the headphone itself.
Once you have unboxed the headphone, you should charge it for about two hours before you use it. The company guarantees eight hours of music playback and up to 100 hours of standby time. But, for me, it lasted for about 5.5 hours during which I primarily used the headphone for watching movies and listening to music.
Once the charging is done, you can easily pair the headphone with your mobile phone or laptop via Bluetooth. If by any chance you get hit by an issue with the pairing, you may refer to the manual for help.
What we loved most is the quality of the audio output. For a headphone in this budget range, the music beats are nice to hear. This is aided by the high-definition sound production. It is definitely a treat to hear.
The bass is good but I won’t say it is the perfect one out there. Additionally, the boat rockerz 400 comes with a pretty good passive noise cancellation that can effectively block out the background noise.
The Boat Rockerz comes with a nice microphone and connectivity that allows to pick up mobile phone calls easily. The only issue is that the voice quality while using the headphone for voice calls is not good.
The rockerz 400 headphone has a wireless range of about ten metres which means you can comfortably connect to your device like a television that has Bluetooth support directly or via a Bluetooth transmitter. Rest assured, you don’t have to worry about your wife or parent scolding you for watching movies late night.
This Boat Rockerz model comes with support for 3.5mm cable. This means that even when your battery is out, you can connect via the cable to keep listening to music.
